Tim, checking with ADE it is an asphalt runway at 135.00 ft.
The ADE in EU Scotland gets turned off with the install of Orbx EGPH.
I uninstalled Orbx EGPH and rebuilt the database in Plan-G, it now shows a correct icon.

Thanks

Hello Tim
I have EGPH in P3Dv4, same as you.

I will check in ADE for the runway texture.

Hello Tim,

what specifies which tyoe of icon should show for an airport.

I have just installed EGPH Edinburgh by Orbx, and updating the Plan-G database it now shows with a seaplane icon.

Can I do anything to remedy that.

Best regards

Tim,

I could not find where in ADE in the KEGE bgl, the section to denote a water runway, altitude was correct at 6,500+ feet.

All sorted, removed all of Plan G from C: drive, uninstalled Orbx KEGE airport, shutdown PC. On restart installed 3 1 2 101, ran database build, correct icon shown for KEGE, copied back saved Plan G files to documents, still all good. Reinstalled Orbx KEGE.

Copied all Plan G folders to desktop, reran database build, back to Seaplane base icon, replaced all folders with the saved ones, all good again.

In the Orbx KEGE there must be something about a water runway which was causing the wrong icon to show in Plan G.

Hi Tim,

In FSX, but I also have P3Dv4, I only recall running a Build Navigation Database in FSX when I installed v3.1.2.101.
The program is not connected to FSX, I just run it on the desktop to create Flight Plans.

Regards,

Smudger.

Tim,

Is there a way to edit the airport icons, my icon on the map is showing KEGE Eagle County Regional as a Seaport base as per attachment.

Best regards,

Logiq.
