Plan-g 3.1.3 Not connecting

Sorry to alarm you Tim,

It happens on any version download when I try to install it & press OK.

It does not happen on downloads from elsewhere, and not only now I can not have Plan G but whatever I downloaded cannot delete.           ...........nick

My Plan 3 has not worked well recently.

I downloaded v 3.1.4 as per instructions but, when double clicked gave this harmful warning, & same thing happened when I tried to install v.3.1.3.  Can you help?      ....thanx     ....nick

Found in my old notes of 2012 that I solved the same problem when FSX had no ISP 1 & 2 installed.

Plang3 now Connects.

Where is the loc file located, search fails to find it.

1. Single PC.

2. FSUIPC4 installed & FSUIPC4.dll shows in FSX modules but there is no mudules on FSX top menu.

EDIT: FSUIPC4 is in the Add-ons on FSX top menu.

The rest I do not understand.

FSX if fine & Plan Gv3.1.2 OK finds the Flt.Plan Route BUT will not connect.

Perhaps I have the wrong type of v3, I am 64bits.
Where do I go wrong?                 .....thanx                ..................nick

EDIT:-downloaded it again as 64bit, & installed it as administrator but, still NOT Connect

Deleted the others & installed 3.1.2, when running & install the F.Plan in FSX it will not connect to it     ....thanx   ...nick

SOLVED

Both v2 & v3 connect now.

I am dual booting XP & W8, with FSX installed on both.

P-Gv2 was installed in the XP MS-Games & when I installed P-Gv3 it went in the W8 MS-Games.

So, with the shortcut for booting FSX was from the XP installation & the one for P-Gv3 from the W8.

Consequently they could not see each other to connect.

Now by booting both FSX & P-Gv3 from the W8 installations they connect.

Now I am getting this error below in P-G v 2 when I click on the Connect button.

I deleted all traces of FSUIPC from the system.

Fl.Plans .pln are same on both.

Does that give any clues as to why now I lost P-Gv2 connection as well as the v.3?

I am sorry to keep harking about this but, although GPv2 works OK in FSX & w8, the v3 not connecting  is baging me as to where I go wrong.

1. In both FSX & GPv3 I right clicked their .exe files & ticked in properties- compatibilities- Run as Administartor.

2. In the Compatibility Tab win8 is not mentioned, it only goes  up to w7. Tried it with no result.

3. FSX has sp1 & 2.

4. I load the same FSX Plans .pln in FSX & G.Pv3.

5. FSUIPC4 I use in FS9 here is not needed

Clicking on the blue Connect button flashes but nothing happens, also buttons Lock, Synch & Free are grayed & do not respond. 

Hi,         I have win 8 & FSX with sp1/2 & FSXFSUIPC4.

Although PG 3 DOES NOT CONNECT with FSX I found how to get the plans in Win 8:- Open Plan-G 3 & Go

File> Open > which opens the file explorer, at the bottom right hand corner  click the down arrow in the "Plan-G Flight plan files" box & select what you want, from FSX to Fs9 to X Plane e.t.c.

using XP & fsx sp1/2, .Net Framework v4.0 & FSXFSUIPC4 are installed & data are build in both PGv2/v3 & both installed in one of my partitions.

1. The fsx flight plans (in My Documents) do not open up in PG3, they open in PG2.

2. Neither PG2or PG3 connect with fsx. The V2 says " (timeout) check protocol settings correct", how do I check if they are correct & if not correct how to fix them?.

3. Should either PG versions work in Win8?, I cannot make them do.    ....thanx     ....nick

If I remember rightly at first when I opened V3 a large info pannel opened automatically on the side.

It was usefull as when the pointer went over an airfilled the pannel was filled with info.

I do not seem to get it opening now.

OK generated by MS-FS which perhaps will be viewed in fsx also if near one.
