Plan-G / Re: Build Database after install
July 01, 2019, 04:39:04 AM
Problem solved. One person advised to install SQLServer 2008 sp2. Another advised to install SQLServer 2012 sp2. So I installed both. I also put older entityframework.dll in System32 folder. I do not know which solved the problem, but works.

Fixed problem with "SqlServerSpatial110.dll". Copied file from SysWow64 folder to System32.
Now there is a new problem:
'ExtentPlaceholderCreator' threw an exception. ---> System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.EntryPointNotFoundException: Unable to find an entry point named 'SetClrFeatureSwitchMap' in DLL 'SqlServerSpatial110.dll'.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Plan-G worked before, why this now?

Current log attached.

Plan-G / Build Database after install
June 11, 2019, 05:16:32 AM
I recently had to reinstall Plan-G 3.2.1. It installs ok, one drive is paused/disabled. The program files were installed on the local drive.
I installed under administrator and ran it under administrator. Onedrive was disabled/paused.
I then try to create a database for FSX. It came up with an error.
.
Attached error message and log.
Any help would be appreciated.

Plan-G / Re: not reading 3rd party scenery

Problem solved. I was setting the scenery.cfg file to the Microsoft Flight Simulator x main folder instead of the program data folder. Thank you very much for the help. :)

It will read the Addon Scenery\scenery folder but does not read any of the other folders in the addon scenery folder. Do I need to add each of these folders in the additional scenery locations?

I have been using Open Cycle Map for my maps, but I will install 3.1.4 as suggested. Attached log file.

Plan-G / not reading 3rd party scenery
January 27, 2017, 04:47:38 AM
I have just installed a new hard drive and have been installing all the airports to FSX Gold. Added all the airports that I had with old hard drive. Now Plan-G, v3.1.3 will not read the 3rd party scenery. It is starting in administrator mode. All this scenery loaded before but will not load now. I have gone through the scenery one at a time to try to find out if any of the scenery is stopping Plan-G from reading the rest with out any luck. Can you suggest any advice to get this to work?

Plan-G / Re: Save Altitude
July 29, 2013, 03:17:59 AM
Plan-G v.3.0.5.61 is now working fine. I had installed Flight 1: iFly 737 NGX and that is when the problem started, I believe. Uninstalled it and now Plan-G is working. The iFly 737 would not use any existing flight plans. Had to program new ones into FMC and save in their format. Nice plane but a lot of work for me to redo all of my flight plans. I have to go to Sky Vector online to use their charts, can't afford the real ones. Sorry to have troubled you with this. Hope this advice helps someone else.  JimF

Did I do something wrong with the plan? I am still fairly new to flight simming, since April 2012. Still learning how to navigate. Any help would be appreciated.

Plan-G / Save Altitude
July 20, 2013, 07:31:02 PM
I have made flight plans for a long time and suddenly now it will not save the suggested altitude set for the plan, just the original suggested altitude. Example: I save 35000 but it saves the original suggested altitude of 13000. I have all the updates from Windows, 7 x64. Help Please!
