Plan-G / Re: Flight Plan Edit
February 28, 2022, 10:32:47 PM
Hi Tim
I am afraid there is still an issue with this in 259.

With reference to my attached picture and in "Edit plan" mode
If you move any midpoint of a leg (Circled 1) to a new position the magenta line follows to the new position.
If you move any endpoint of a leg (Circled 2) the magenta line stays in the old position.

Try it out to see what I mean.

Hi Tim
I create the plan in the normal way by right clicking and "Add to plan" once I have created the plan I sometimes want to move/stretch one of the plan legs to a new position and that is where I get the anomaly that the magenta trace stays in the original postion and does not readjust to the new waypoint position.

When I relaod the .plg file it still shows the magenta lines in the wrong position.

Yes the waypoints lat and long do change in the flight plan,

No, the lines do not redraw when exiting edit mode.

Plan-G / Flight Plan Edit
February 05, 2022, 06:47:53 PM
I have just installed Plan-G v 4.0.0.258 and whenever I move the waypoint marker to a new position the Magenta flight path name does not correct to the new position, it is still in the old position.  Am I miising something or doing something wrong?

Plan-G / IGC Trail Colour
April 25, 2014, 09:08:33 AM
Plan-g has the ability to load in more than one IGC Flight trail.

Is there a way to make each IGC flight path a different colour to differentiate between flights on a similar track?
If not can this be an enhancement request for a future Plan-G version.

Plan-G / Re: Rebuiding database - FSX

Thanks Tim the penny dropped when I saw no entries in the Log file. I pointed Plan-G to the wrong scenery.cfg folder.

Plan-G / Rebuiding database - FSX
December 30, 2013, 03:32:07 PM
I have created a simple Airfield using ADE9X imported it into FSX and is showing up OK including the ICAO code LZRU.

I have rebuilt the Plan-G database to include this new airfiled but it iis not showing. I have never had a problem like this before so I do not know what is going wrong.

I am using W7 and latest Plan-G V3 version.

If you are still stuck after reading the manual, then is your aircraft equipped with Nav1, Nav2 & ADF ?
For instance if you are flying a Bush plane without these instruments then I don't think you will be able to set the Plan-G radio stack. Big tin / IFR equipped aircraft should not be a problem.

Only saying this as when I use my A2A Spitfire, the Plan-G radio stack does not work properly because of the lack of radio/Navaids in the Aircraft. If I change this to a default FSX Cessna C-172 then Plan-G Navaids and radio work as intended in the manual.

Plan-G / Re: KML/KMZ DOES NOT SHOW

I have had this problem as well. When you mention blue I think you will find that Plan-G places you over one of the oceans (can't remember which one)

I have to use Plan-G v2 for my KML/KMZ's to work.

Yep, appears to have been fixed in v49 for me also  :D

Plan-G / Re: Radio Stack
August 25, 2012, 09:28:06 PM
I think this has to do with Aircraft type. I changed my A2A Spitfire for the FSX default cessna c172 and the radio stack performs perfectly  :)

I think it is because the Spitfire I use only officially has 1 main radio and no standby and therefore Plan-G just changes the main frequency.

Plan-G / Radio Stack
August 19, 2012, 08:37:15 PM
I have just used the Radio stack for the first time, great feature as I can now tune in faster in the A2A Spitfire.

A slight bug though, when I click above or below the numbers in the STANDBY frequency, the MAIN frequency numbers change. Although very usuable it needs addressing at the next release so that the correct STANDBY frequency changes.

Attached is the IGC file.

It just occured to me that the IGC was created from the Simlogger program, http://carrier.csi.cam.ac.uk/forsterlewis/soaring/sim/fsx/dev/sim_logger/

I have not tried to reload back in a Plan-G IGC created trace yet as a comparison
