Hi I have decided to use plan g over a network however setting up simconnect looks very complicated  I have widefs and am going to use this just wondering if there is any problems using widefs as I know simconnect is faster and is the preferred option.

hi just like to say what a fantastic program im new to vfr flying and along with vfr genx flying has never been so good. just one question regarding weather im using opusfsx to inject the weather into fsx, does plan g then get the same weather info ie.wind speed and direction as i notice that plan g is different from what opus shows. i have not done a flight plan yet just a free flight to make sure my simconnect works ok, does a flightplan have to be made for the winds to show correctly.
