Many thanks Tim. Very much appreciated. I'm doing fine thanks.
That download worked straightaway. Still baffled but thanks again.

I have the same problem.

Edition   Windows 10 Home
Version   21H1
Installed on   ‎08/‎11/‎2020
OS build   19043.1889
Experience   Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

That version is up to date according to the updater.

Using MS Edge without any modification and just clicking on the Download button on the website. It spends quite a while trying to download something at about 200Kb/s. Final file size is 83,895 KB. When I open the resulting zip file using the "open" link in the browser I get the above reported "invalid" message. If I select the zip file and click Extract All, it tells me it's empty. I downloaded Firefox (much to Microsoft's disgust!) and got the same result with that. Likewise Google Chrome.

The link it is downloading is :- http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/?wpdmpro=plan-g-v4-0-1-262&wpdmdl=1155&refresh=62f66b124a39e1660316434

I'm at a loss and stuck with the previous version of Plan-G.

If no one has a fix, I'll try updating Windows to 21H2

Plan-G / Re: Cross Reference in v4 build 255 - bug?

Sorry Tim - forgot to get back to this post. The steps above will reliably recreate the problem (W10 64bit Home 21H1). File attached - generated after killing Plan-G with task manager and removed the extra dot after the filename so I could post it.

Plan-G / Cross Reference in v4 build 255 - bug?
December 13, 2021, 07:40:41 PM
I created a user-defined waypoint and added it to a flight plan. Then edited the waypoint to add a cross reference. I used the ADD button and searched for the VOR I wanted (Talla). TLA was entered in the identifier box. When I clicked OK Plan-G stopped responding and appeared to be spinning (25% processor usage, flickering lines in the flight pan display box). End Task.

On re-opening Plan-G, still unresponsive because the flight plan was in autosave.plg.( attached). End Task.

I managed to edit the autosave file and preserve the flight plan I had created on next load. The problem waypoint is named "M74 bends" and I wanted to see the bearing to TLA. I hope this info is useful.

I saw this on another website using a Google Maps inteface today. On initially loading it showed only the overlays until I clicked one of the map options.

Plan-G / Re: Simconnect

Well wadda ya know! It works. I can connect my laptop to FSX on my main PC. Just thought it might help if I added my set up. I installed FSX last year from the package that was re-released as a bundle (FSX deluxe with all the patches incorporated plus Acceleration).

In this installation the version of simconnect installed by the .msi file in the SDK is 60905. The SDK/simconnect files were installed on the laptop directly from the disk.
