Dear Tim,

Sorry to hear that you are taken ill. Wish you a full and speedy recovery, but above all rest and relax.

I find your path a little bit strange: C:\Documents\Plan-g Files\Data\PlanG3_P3D.sdf

In the standard installed Plan-G the path is normally C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Plan-G Files\ etc.

Go to File -> Options -> Location and see what Plan-G Files Folder says. Mine says: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Plan-G Files

Finally, for Tim to be able to help attach the Plan-G_Log.txt log file from the Paln-G Files directory.

Flight Planning / Re: cannot add userwaypoint to plan...
February 23, 2018, 03:49:47 AM
I agree with you observation. The work around is to add any airport to the plan and then when you right-click on your waypoints the "Add to Plan" is at the top of the list. After that you can delete the not required airport.

Apparently a user waypoint cannot be the first point of an empty plan. An initial problem and something that Tim should be able to fix.

Try to run the installed program with Administrator privileges and see what happens. I don't have W10 so cannot really help very much.

I checked the pop-up of VOR/DVOR and with the rose and the actual airspace displayed these pop-ups still show as it should when I move the mouse over them.

It is time for Tim to have look at this.

I am using version 3.2.0.144.

When I hover the mouse over airport, VOR or NDB a popup window shows with data.

Make sure that you have View -> ToolTips checked!!!

Plan-G / Re: ils not displayed on map
January 05, 2018, 05:00:56 AM
Just a few obvious things to check:

  • Map --> ILS/LOC should be checked
  • View --> Map Overlays should be checked
  • If still not success then try: File --> Options --> General --> Reset Tool Windows and restart Plan-G

Plan-G / Re: FSX Database vs X-Plane
December 01, 2017, 10:21:12 PM
X-Plane 11.10 (current in beta) will support the new .fms format: https://developer.x-plane.com/?article=flightplan-files-v11-fms-file-format

The question is whether Plan-G can generate all aspects of the 1100 .fms files.

I wondering if it is a Windows 10 issue, as I never had a problem with my Windows 7 Pro 64bit system.

Plan-G / Re: Error generating database for X-Plane 11

opjose,

Is D:\Program Files (x86)\ your true Windows directory for programs? If it is then X-Plane 11 should not be in there because it needs write privileges to several directories.

I have copies on C:\X-Plane 11\ and E:\X-Plane 11\ and never have problems.

ananda,

I recommend that you install the latest version: Plan-G v3.2.0.144 for Windows 7 – 10 (requires DotNet v4.6.2). Click "Main Site" at the top of this page and then scroll down to the download link.

Plan-G / Re: Plan-G do not show me OACi Airspace
November 11, 2017, 05:25:35 AM
Daktylus,

Copy the OpenAir data for Spain into a text file, e.g. spain.txt, from http://soaringweb.org/Airspace/ and put that in X-Plane 11\Custom Data\airspaces\. Then rebuild the Plan-G database.

Do you see the same thing as I see in the attached picture? If you do then you can move the cursor over any airport and the data will show in the Info Panel.
