Plan-G / Re: Unable to build P3D Database

I did the straightfoward thing, uninstalled my present version, downloaded and installed the latest variant...and all is well.  The database built correctly.  Thanks for your help.

Plan-G / Unable to build P3D Database
October 17, 2018, 01:37:47 PM
I have v3.2 of Plan G, and in the build database settings I have set the path to P3D4.exe. and the P3D4 scenery.cfg (from program Data).  The Database build goes quickly through a number of categories, but fails at about 2/3 of the way through 30388 runways every time.
I have never got past this point with the blue circle on the mouse pointer turning endlessly.
Do I lack patience, or maybe something is corrupted?
Should I download the latest version, (which I think I have), uninstall the previous and reinstall.  I know this is very simple but there is no point doing this if the problem lies elsewhere.

A huge prize to the man who discovered PortoSanto.  Once deleted, database compilation was straightforward.

A lollipop is on the way Altack.

I'm glad no-one responded.

I uninstalled and reinstalled FSUIPC5 and it has made the connection. The error was somewhere there, not with Peter Dowson of course!

The Map depiction is brilliant, and I am presently following my flight from Manchester to Valencia using AS for v4 that gaved me a cloudy England and a fine clear Spain.

I am hopelessly frustrated.  I cannot make any Moving Map work, it always fails in the link to P3Dv4.

I had Plan G working superbly with P3v3, it was my go-to.

I have installed the beta Plan G3.1.4, I had to remove all my add-on airports to finally allow the database to build.  Then it appears to Connect when the symbol is pressed, but it is stuck on Sync, and the Options of Free and Locked are greyed out.  A small yellow arrow appears in a black rectangle in the top-left corner of the Map.  I connect via FSUIPC5 but no aeroplane symbol appears on an otherwise superb map.

Please help me.

Instead of stalled database building at airports, the beta does exactly the same thing but with runways.  Is there any advice how to get around this, as Plan G is unusable...and my donation is held up.

Me too:  stalls at 24689 airports.  Is there someway through this?

Plan-G / Re: Plan-G and Prepar3D

Tim:  thank you for this, but I have looked into the TASoftware folder, and I can find no file that allows me to modify the various paths.  The only one that may do, the INSTALLetc, needs a special download to read.  At the moment I can only find payware, which I will buy if necessary.  But I would need assurance that it is this file that has to be modified.

I would be most grateful for your assistance.
