Wow, that was fast  :)

Actually, I tried the "free" setting also after the incident happened. It made no difference.

Thanks,

Plan-G / Map question/problem
April 11, 2012, 02:27:51 PM
Greetings all!

Just had my first go with this marvelous piece of work last night on a short test flight. I am using FS9 on my main pc (Win 7 64bit ultimate) and Plan-G on my networked pc (Win 7 64 bit Home Premium). I have the registered version of FSUIP and WideFS installed.

I have the machines "talking" to each other - there's no problems there. For the test flight I loaded a flight plan that had already been created in FSNav and imported to the default FS9 planner. What I did experience last night during my short (90nm) flight was this: about midway through the flight I thought I'd have a look at an airport that is midway between departure and destination. I think I right clicked on it and chose the view airport diagram. I had the map set to follow my aircraft symbol (either synch or lock). What happened then is that my aircraft moved to the edge of the map, it moved off. The map stayed centered on the airport I had viewed the diagram of (this airport stayed listed in the right hand side under the GPS gauges). As my flight progressed, the map would snap to my aircraft's symbol for a few seconds and then snap back dead on center of the airport I had view the data of. If I tried dragging the map it would just snap back to the airport.

Evidently I'm doing something wrong here. How can I map the map not center on an airport I've viewed the data of and go back to following my aircraft?

Thanks,
Scott
