Plan-G / No imagery at zoom level
June 05, 2017, 12:19:12 PM
When I open Plan-G, I dont get a map, only blue squares saying:"Exception: The remote name could not be resolved: 'otile1.mqcdn.com'" and "We are sorry, but we dont have imagery at this zoom level for this region",
But changing zoom level or region doesnt change this. What can I do to restore the map?

Plan-G / Re: Plan-G in Windows 10

I think I found something.

I noticed that Win10 is quite slow with starting up all kinds of files, a simple Notepad text file often takes 20-30seconds, an installer can take even up to well over a minute to start and explorer locks during this time...
I'm used to opening a program and reposition the window as soon as it comes up, but this seems to cause loss of control. I tried waiting a little before doing anything when the program opened and then it's okay. I can move the program window and use all functions as I'm used to.

So if anyone experiences these same problems with Plan-G in Win10, just wait like 10-20seconds before clicking on anything and you should be fine.

Plan-G / Plan-G in Windows 10
August 06, 2015, 11:11:11 AM
I just installed Plan-G under Windows 10, but every time I start it up, it stops responding and the whole computer gets stuck. I can move my mouse, but that's all that is still functional.

What can I do to fix this?

Cheers,
Maarten

Plan-G / Re: .NET problem

Running Windows10 IP with .net 4.6, but from what I hear this would be able to run all programs fit for Windows 7 and 8 and before I reinstalled my system Plan-G did work fine.

Wonder what the problem can be, if it's not .net

Plan-G / .NET problem
May 29, 2015, 10:38:01 AM
I'm having problems with Plan-G crashing upon start-up and I understand that this is happening because Plan-G needs .NET 4.0 instead of .NET 4.5.1 or 4.6. I tried to install .NET 4.0, but the installer wont execute because there is already a higher version installed.

What can I do to get .NET 4.0 installed?

Plan-G / Cant print map
October 13, 2014, 02:07:03 PM
So far I've been able to print flightplans, but when I set the print function to map, I only get a white sheet.
How can I print the map with the route?

Plan-G / Saving KML markings
August 10, 2014, 01:09:43 PM
I've got several kml-files I'm using with Plan-G, but loading those every time I use Plan-G is taking up more time as my kml-files progress.
Is there a way to save the markings from kml-files in Plan-G, so they will be there when the program is started?

Plan-G / KML files
August 02, 2014, 04:37:14 PM
In the manual is an explination about loading KML/KMZ files, but I cant find anything about how to create and save them.

What I want to do is add markers for my addon airports to the Plan-G maps, so it's clear where I can fly from addon to addon. Is there any explination on how to do this?

Plan-G / Re: Planning Ribbons Not Available

Its very easy. You go to the folder documents\plan-g files\data, where you find a file called plang3_fsx.sdf. You copy that file and paste it in the same folder and rename it plang3_p3d.sdf.
Go back to Plan-g and you can check the p3d database and click OK. That's it.

Plan-G / Re: Creating user wayoints on airports

What I understand from that post is that the problem is avoidable by not turning the user waypoints into VRPs. But I don't change icon at all and, from what I understand, meaning that I should be able to continue adding user waypoints, but I cant...
Or simply put, I don't understand how to work around the problem, like that post says, should be possible.

I had a go with version 3.0.2, just to see if it was version related, but here I ran into the same kind of problem. I just wanted to put some POI markers under the airport markers and the first two worked fine, but the next two, I didn't check the elevation first, so I had to get back to the edit window to enter those after creating the Waypoint, but after entering the number and clicking OK, it resets to 0. Also in the waypoint window the figure doesn't let itself be changed. Then, when I got to the fifth waypoint, I can enter all the data, but when I click OK, the windows closes, but there isn't any waypoint on the map. Also, there isn't a new waypoint in the waypoint window.
Also, after closing the program and opening it again, the POIs are gone, even though they are still in the user waypoint list.

Hope this information helps

I tried it, but it isn't working. First I managed to setup 2 user waypoints, but when zooming out, they get covered by the airport marker, so I still cant get an overview of the map, with my own markers visible.
Turning the airport markers off, I indeed get a map with my own markers visible, but I'm loosing the functionality of the program, where I can pick up markers for the flight plan, for example.
Another problem that came up on a second try, was that I can only set one marker from any available marker type and trying to setup a second, the first marker disappears. Trying again the markers don't show at all and don't give an entry in the waypoint window, doing exactly the same thing as I did before where I could get 2 waypoints on the first try and 1 on the second.

Plan-G / Creating user wayoints on airports
January 12, 2014, 02:31:50 PM
Hello, I'm a new user and I'm having some trouble with programming user waypoints.
What I'm trying to do is setup a user waypoint database, where I can quickly see which airports are updated by addons. When I rightclick at a random spot in an ampty area, I get the option to set a new waypoint, but when I do this on top of an existing airport, I dont get that option.
How do I drop a user waypoint on top of an existing airport?
