Plan-G / Can't load flight plans
May 07, 2014, 06:02:50 PM
Hello,

My Plan-G v3.1.0.82 installation has suddenly stopped allowing me to load flight plans. I installed it with administrator rights (Windows 7) on the root directory of C:. I have tried doing a clean boot using msconfig with no results. I have tried uninstalling Plan-G and reinstalling it, also no results. I have re-installed .Net Framework v4.5.1, no results. What happens is that in the File menu, if I click on Open, it often will hesitate, report "not responding" and then switch out of the File menu into the Map, Home or whatever was open when I opened the File menu. At other times it won't hesitate, just put me back not the File, Home or whatever. No dialog to open a file appears. I am able to open recent plans, but not plans from the disc.

I hope there is some way to fix this.

Thanks. Should have thought of that myself.

Plan-G / Open Trail Analysis
May 04, 2014, 02:01:37 PM
I am trying out some of the plans in Plans and PIREPs. Some of them are not .plg, but .txt files that the instructions say should be opened by choosing Trail Analysis and then clicking on "Open". However, I don't see an "Open" option. Is there a way to import these flight plans?

Plan-G / Re: Problem creating X-Plane database

Thank you for your response. I registered with x-plane.it and was able to get the airspaces file, and it works. I still don't have instrument approaches, and waypoints (unless I just need them for Italy.) Anyhow, it was good to get the airspaces, thank you.

I am still very concerned about the error messages in the log file, such as:

19:16:33.1 Error processing earth_nav.dat.: 6  40.75644400  016.94085000   1184        10  300321.163  LIBV 32L GS

Are these errors normal? If not, how do I fix this? Do I need to re-install X-Plane?

Plan-G / Problem creating X-Plane database
May 02, 2014, 01:21:06 AM
Hello,

I was having a problem getting the navigation database to build, it was hanging.

I tried again and finally, mysteriously, got the database to run, but I am missing instrument approaches (when I right-click on an airport the "Instrument Approaches" item does not display. Also I am missing RDPM airspaces, and probably some other things I haven't discovered yet. I checked the Plan-G_log.txt and found lots of error messages.

I am attaching the Plan-G_Log in hopes a solution may be found. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, X-Plane 10.25, and Plan G 3.1.
