Plan-G / Re: v4.1.2.265 zip file download problem
November 17, 2022, 06:56:26 PM
Hi,

Yes there is a problem with the download it only downloads at 130 kb/s and finishes downloading after about 50 MB.
It then says there is data lost in the zip file and when you unzip it there is no actual plan-g application to run.

this is using MS edge I tried opera as well, they both do it.

Regards,
Steve

Plan-G / Re: New Plan G does not load the database
December 03, 2017, 02:24:03 PM
I get the same message about the database size being wrong it does it was it as it is processing the aprons (2)  side of it. Plan-G was working fine before this latest version so I think I may try the older version again or look for a different flight planner which is a shame because I really like Plan-G. However if it doesn't load up the x-plane airports it isn't much use to me.

Plan-G / Network plugin for Plan-G
October 08, 2017, 12:06:00 PM
Hi,

I would like to make a feature request for Plan-G. I love the Plan-G software but I have had major problems getting the network plugin XPUIPC to work using x-plane 11 and windows 10. I have tried switching off the firewalls on both pcs and various other things but to no avail. It seems very difficult to setup and tempermental. So my request is would it be possible for a plugin for x-plane 10/11 to be written which just sends all the required data to the Plan-G software.

I also use Gmaps from FSwidgets and they have a free network plugin which you just install in xp11 and it works great I don't have to mess about with switching off firewalls, ip settings, port settings, it just works. I do not like switching off firewalls for security reasons. I don't know whether it is because the XPUIPC is a few years old now or what but it is a bit of a nightware to get working.

Anyway if the network plugin was available I would use Plan-G alot more and it would be become my main mapping software for x-plane.

Thanks,
Steve

Plan-G / Re: Plan-G freeze with Xplane 10.40b2
June 28, 2015, 06:02:26 PM
Hi,

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of plan-g 3.1.2 and then tried to update my nav database. It reads the apt file and then says processing 34969 runways and then just hangs. I have taken off the custom scenery folder as I thought a rogue scenery might be causing the problem but it still hangs when processing the normal airports in x-plane. However I am running beta 4 of x-plane 10.40 so maybe that is the issue. It might be ok with the non-beta version of x-plane 10.40. But it does seem like the latest beta version has stopped the normally excellent plan-g software from working. Hopefully this is being looked into and a new version of plan-g can be released.

Cheers,
Steve
