I reckon you will have more success with FSUIPC questions totally unrelated to Plan-G on the FSUIPC support forum.

Don Grovestine has made an awesome CYYJ which has the updated ILS frequency, and also has corrected the localizer position.

It can be downloaded here: http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=CYYJ
#3
The FSX/(P3D) stock CYYJ airport uses 108.70 for ILS from both directions, so any add-on CYYJ airport derived from stock will also do the same unless explicitly instructed to do otherwise. ;)

The offset localizer is also a "feature" of the stock airport, whether it reflects RL or not I don't know:

TIP: A great and absolutely free tool for finding duplicate/rogue add-on airports is Scruffyduck's Simple Airport Scanner: http://www.scruffyduck.org/simple-airport-scanner/4584282795

Plan-G / Re: SimConnect - again?
October 01, 2014, 11:19:55 AM
I have Plan-G working fine via SimConnect.

My SimConnect.xml looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>

<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0">
  <Descr>SimConnect Server Configuration</Descr>
  <Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>

  <!-- Plan-G (remote) IPv4 Server Configuration-->
  <SimConnect.Comm>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol>
    <Scope>global</Scope>
    <MaxClients>64</MaxClients>
    <Address>192.168.87.100</Address>
    <Port>4506</Port>
  </SimConnect.Comm>

</SimBase.Document>

192.168.87.100 is the address of the FSX/P3D PC on the local network.

I put this file in "\Users\[Myname]\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" and "\Users\[Myname]\Appdata\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2" on the PC running FSX and P3D.

Only thing I have done on the PC running Plan-G is to set up Plan-G to use Simconnect, with settings IPv4, IP address 192.168.87.100 and port 4506 (same as in the XML above!). I do have SimConnect (all 4 flavours) installed on that PC too though.

Lol, wouldn't it be awesome if the ownship indicator (the little yellow aeroplane!) changed to a yellow submarine if you piloted the submersible in P3D ...  ;)

(Please don't take this as a serious feature suggestion, just imagining things!).

Please forgive this post, but the topic title made me think of this old song:

Little yellow aeroplane

For whatever it's worth: I can also import KML files, and the splash screen displays 3.1.1.

Just to report that the updated English manual is now correctly installed with the new build.

Great success!

Thanks again Tim. :)

- Uninstalled v. 92 and get back in time with betas .91, .90, .89 and .88: no English manual
As I wrote earlier, my first ever version of Plan-G was 3.1.0.82 (the previous release version), and I'm pretty sure the problem already existed in that package.

With that one, I just asssumed the lack of English manual was a general issue, and downloaded the one linked in the pinned thread in this forum.

So maybe it's an omission error in the makefile for the installer that has been around for some time? Just a wild guess ... :)

Well, at least we now have the option of manual download (of the manual, lol ...).

Thanks again for the quick help guys, you rock! :)

Tried to install to default location instead, didn't make any difference.

No English manual, grrr! :)

Don't really think I can add much more to help solve the mystery.

Could you (Penz) check if you have a c:\Program Files (x86)\TA Software folder with something in it?

Beside this, both manuals are ("should be" you are saying  :)) copied in the Plan-G folder, not just the one related to the system localization.

Ciao
Cristiano
Thank you Cristiano!

Sadly I don't have any neither TA Software or Plan-G folders in c:\Program Files (x86), no.

Like I wrote earlier I have even made full volume searches on my hard drives to try and locate the PDF, without luck, so I'm pretty confident it's not hiding anywhere. :)

The first thing to check is that the manual is present in the program folder, and that it's the correct version.

If not, did you run the installer as Administrator?

If not, does doing that make a difference?

If it is there, do you still have the 3.0 build installed? (it could be that that forces Plan-G to believe that the 3.0 folder is its "home" location, so it picks up the manual from the wrong place). The solution to that would be to copy the new manual to the old folder.
Thank you for the quick reply Tim!

1: No, only the Italian manual is present after installation (with "English" selected in the installer).
2: Yes, ran installer as admin.
3: See above. Just for fun (!) I tried NOT running as admin as well, but no difference.
4: I uninstalled previous version first (3.1.0.82), including files in "My Documents" and Application Data, so there aren't any old folders to confuse the installer.

The PDF is not there. Even made full volume searches to try and see if it had been misplaced.

PS: I have no idea if this can be significant in any way, but I'm running "Danish" regionalisation on my English Win 7. And I don't install Plan-G to the default location ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Plan-G v3.1"), but to "D:\Plan-G v3.1". Also, for whatever it's worth, I saw exactly the same behaviour with the previous 3.1.0.82, which was my first Plan-G installation ever; only the Italian manual got installed.

Tried deinstalling and reinstalling, didn't work.

Even tried installing a third time in German just to see if that would make any difference, but it didn't.

The installer makes links to both the English and Italian manuals in the Startup folder, but only the italian manual is installed.

Might be useful to know I use the Windows 7 version of the installer, on Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm pretty sure I made a thorough deinstallation of the old version before installing 3.1.1.92, but now you put doubt in my mind ...

Going to try deinstall and reinstall again, just for fun.  ;D
