FYI I just fixed an issue to install Plan-G v2.0.5 build 493, on Windows XP Service Pack 3.
Actually Windows Installer kept crashing when I tried to run the Plan-G installer, whatever I tried :-\ (using different destination folders, deactivating anti-virus autoprotect, deactivating firewall, both during download and installation...).
Then I downloaded and installed version 4.5 of Windows Installer using that link http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483 and, after a restart to complete the installation of Windows Installer, I was able to install Plan-G successfully :).
