Plans and PIREPs / Plan-G w/ OrbX

Hi Tim,

Kudos on the latest version of Plan-G.

I recently purchased and installed ORB-X for Australia as well as all the freeware airports for the Australia. Plan-G as been extremely useful in finding all these airports as there are no ICAO codes and do not show up in the FS GPS.

Great Job!

Some others have reported the same thing, and I'm still waiting for logging from them to see what the problem is. Please bear with us - hopefully we'll have a resolution soon.

Has this been resolved in the v0.9 release?

It works with the free version
Even if I am running Plan-G on a second PC?

In order to do that it would require registering FSUIPC and getting WideServer, which I am not sure everyone has. Simconnect on the other hand is widely used and is included with FSX.  :)

Plan-G / No MP Traffic with SimConnect

Hi all,

I have seen posts regarding FSUIPC, but not with Simconnect.

I have Plan-G installed on my secondary PC and connect to FSX via Simconnect. Everything works great except that there is no MP traffic on Vatsim.

I have double & triple checked my settings in the FS Display tab and everything seems fine but no multiplayer traffic. I noticed the issue last night when a bunch of us pilots were flying a VFR event and all aircraft were within 20nm of me (I had the range set 100km).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Plan-G / Documentation for SimConnect on Seperate PC

First of all, Kudos on a great product. I haven't seen anything as good as this since back in the FSNav days which doesn't work in FSX.

I hope you don't mind some constructive critism regarding the the manual.

Normally when connection applications through SimConnect modifications also need to be made in the SimConnect.cfg file and there does not seem to be any reference to this. I couldn't get Plan-G to work until I added the necessary lines into the SimConnect.cfg and after that, everything is worked great.

Also, it would be a good idea to mention that if connecting using 2 PCs it is important to go to the Locations tab in Options and indicate the FSX path and flight plan path of the FSX PC otherwise you won't be able to import flight plans or build the Flight Plan database.

If this could be put in the In the 10.2.1 FSX with SimConnect section of the manual it would make setting up Simconnect for pilots a lot easier to understand.

As this is a beta, I realize the manual is no finalized and you have perhaps already thought of this, but I thought it may be worth mentioning.

Great job and keep up te good work!
