There should be a way to add your own GMaps API key.  Hell, I'm pretty sure Gmaps works without an API key over a local network.

The cycle one is working, but it's lame.  Anyway to add some dev options or something to use our own Google Maps API key locally?

That's unfortunate, but not the end of the world.  I hope it's able to updated at some point in the future.

I'm wondering if this plan on the map is normal, or if I have set something when I've been clicking away.  Is there a way to have the route display without the map cutting off?
