Most likely I am missing something here, but I cannot seem to 100% 'disable' the weather (winds) settings inside Plan-G.
I have set "Disable ALL weather in FSX/P3D" -both themed AND personalised (to 000/00kts);  ticked "update local" in PG.....but I still get the yellow arrow in the black box that shows that there is (still) winds aloft...(002 at 020kts)...even when retyped/resaved but it always returns!!
My reason for this is that with some BFSG buddies we are endeavouring to improve our "close formation" flying skills [I use the term loosely!] - simply by practicing extended circuits out of EGGD.
We have recently switched to 'JoinFS' (after previously using FSInn/vPilot) which has by far the best (lowest) 'latency' figures we have ever found (smooth as a proverbial!!), but even when ALL of us are flying the P3D default B58...and using one single 'shared' flight-plan....we seem to be fighting blustery winds, which leads to either drifting apart or (worse!) actually hitting one another (=CTD !!).
We have promised to "get real" and to use the R/W weather ...IN DUE COURSE....but at this early stage those winds are very frustrating!!
Any advice/guidance please?
Thanks

Thank you, Axel.
I have been using Plan-G for many years now (it's such a valuable programme to enhance our simulations!)
I am indeed running Win7.   The earlier version (which actually alerted me to the updated version), dated 24/07/14, is on my C-drive.
Yes I unzipped and ran the new exe (3.1.2.101-w7) dated 05/01/15 as Administrator....hence my clear surprise at the strange message!!

(Later)  FOUND IT !!!!!!
What a silly billy I am......
I had set to run as admin in compatibility mode, but ....for WinXP !!!
That'll teach me.....
Shan't do THAT again.   Just shows that we can all make soppy errors (especially if we THINK we know what we're doing!)
Sorry I ever doubted you, Tim.

Just downloaded the Plan-G 3.1.2 - specifically the (top) one ie for Win7.
Unlocked, unzipped and changed to 'Run As Admin'
Hit "set-up", but got an immediate error message.....
"This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running"!
Any thoughts??

Plan-G / Editing Flight Plans
March 04, 2014, 10:04:26 PM
I am delighted to see - in this latest iteration - the return of the ability to edit existing flight plans (by way of the 'rubber-band' mid-leg stretch points).
Thank's for that.
