In the meantime, you can connect with the most recent FSUIPC.

How do you connect using FSUIPC ?  Thanks.

Edit:  OK I have figured this out.

Plan-G / Plan G does not connect to P3D4
August 16, 2017, 03:54:30 AM
Plan-G refuses to connect to my install of P3D4 properly.  I click connect and there is a muffled ding ding and the connect button briefly lights up but quickly reverts to the not connected state.  This is after a new install of the 3.1.4.129.  I had understood that this version works with P3Dv4 but possibly not.  Connects fine with little navmap and aivlasoft EFB but not Plan-G. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you. At the end of the log file is the following:

13:07:30.0 Initiating SimConnect connection.
13:07:30.0 Connect
13:07:30.0 SimConnect.Connect - Remote. Mode = IPv4 Server = localhost Port = 0
13:07:35.0 SimConnect connection attempt timed out
13:07:35.0 Disconnect
13:07:36.0 Disconnected from sim
13:07:51.8 Cleanup

Hope this helps.

I click on the plan icon and nothing happens - what is the trick to getting a flightplan to display in tabular format?

Thanks

Plan-G / Click and drag flightplan editing
August 18, 2012, 06:59:46 AM
How do you use the click and drag method of editing a flightplan in v3?.  As this was such an extremely useful feature of v2 I hope it is still implemented but I note that the edit button seems to be missing.

Thanks

Plan-G / Re: Terrain Map in Version 3

Well looks like it be will be v2 for me also as the terrain mapping feature is the main reason I use Plan-G.  I would more than happy for Plan-G to go payware if this would assist in resolving licensing issues that are taking the shine off v3.

It was planned, but didn't manage to get the licensing sorted, sorry.

Well that is a shame as the issues I raised in the OP will continue to be a hassle.

Re-visiting this because having read through the v3 manual I see no reference to Navigraph support - has this fallen by the wayside?

Plan-G / Navigraph

Plan-G is a great program.  I love the way you can build and edit a flightplan by clicking on the map.  However I also use FSC and EFB and these, and most other flight planning tools plus high end aircraft such as the PMDG 737NGX, have navigraph support which Plan-G doesn't.  As time goes by the gap between the FSX database and more recent airac cycles is becoming greater and greater and it is getting to the stage where the use of Plan-G is becoming much more of a hassle than I would like it to be. When I create a plan in FSC and import into Plan-G to do further refinement (particularly with respect to high terrain avoidance which Plan-G is well suited for) I am getting waypoints inserted by Plan-G that are often many thousands of miles away.  So how about navigraph support even at the cost at becoming payware which wouldn't faze me one bit?

Thanks

Plan-G / Re: Google Earth

Sorry to drag out this thread but to be crystal clear are you now saying that a moving FS aircraft isn't displayed in the Plan-G Google earth view?  This is important to me as I have been comparing Plan-G to a well known payware product that seems to offer very little over what is available in Plan-G and in some respects is inferior (eg can't import FS flight plans and inferior standard map views) but it does offer a Google Earth view with a flight plan track including waypoints and a moving aircraft.

Thanks. But if I understood the manual correctly I should be able to see my FS aircraft when connected to FSX and it is this that doesn't seem to display or toggle on and off with the F6 key on my PC.

Bump on this one as no replies for a couple of days.  Can anyone suggest why F6 doesn't work with Google Earth?  In fact the only overlay features that do display on Google Earth on my PC are airspace boundaries and flight plan tracks (but no waypoints).  All the map overlays and the F6 toggle work on the other display types but not with Google Earth.   Now, I know I can get a very similar display as Google Earth with Satellite but Google Earth displays a round globe that I much prefer for longer flights over 600 miles or so when the difference between a rhumb line and Great Circle track  becomes significant.  A round Earth is how FSNavigator displays its map and it is disappointing that the developers of flightplanners for FSX don't seem to see this as an important feature to support -  particularly the payware ones (however I still greatly appreciate the efforts of the developers for freeware apps such as Plan-G).

Plan-G / DEM tiles
November 27, 2010, 07:26:31 AM
Another question.  I have downloaded and installed DEM tiles into the Plan-G DEM folder but the Plan elevation option in the view tab remains greyed out and unclickable. What else do I need to do so this feature can be enabled?  Thanks.

That works with the other map types but not Google Earth.
