Plan-G is not displaying maps, only nav points are visible. The background of the map is text saying something about MapQuest. Is there another download for the program that I am missing?

Plan-G / Plan-G opens off screen

Don'e know why this is happening. but the program seems to be opening off screen. Wheh I click to start Plan-G, I can see what looks like an animation of the window opening. But it seems to opening off screen.
WTF? Has anyone else seen anything like this and is there a solution?
