Hi Tim
I managed to (almost) successfully export FSX Airspace Data from FSX on an an old hard drive and import it into Plan-G X-Plane 11 Database on the new PC.  However, all the other detail disappeared ...unless the import somehow cleared the Map Ribbon selections and I missed it?  Guess I should repeat the exercise and make sure it wasn't a matter of just deselecting the missing objects? Or have i missed something ...again?

Hello Tim
I have finally got Plan G working on my networked system with X-Plane 11. It is great!
I am now trying to import FSX airspace into Plan G. I found your post that this is possible but have no idea where in FSX to find said files or how to get this done.
Can you kindly point me in the right direction?

Plan-G / Greyed out Start Position on Home Tab
February 28, 2019, 08:14:50 PM
Good Day Tim

I have been trying to connect Plan G (running on a DELLXPS13) to my X Plane 11 sim (on an i7 Desktop). I have installed XPUIPC and XWideClient. XPUIPC appears in X Plane Plugins. It is not yet working but somewhere along the line I noticed that the Start Position tab in Plan G Home view is grayed out. Is this a known problem with either XPUIPC or XWideClient?  Or do I need to look somewhere else?

Regards

Plan-G / Re: 3.2.1.151 Update

Hi Tim.
Following up on getting XPUIPC running on client laptop. As far as I can see permissions on laptop and desktop give access to 'everyone'. How can I check whether XPUIPC is running on the laptop - is there something I must do to start/open the programme?

Thanks Tim. I'm embarrassed to say that I obviously missed the fact that XPUIPC must be running on the client running Plan-G! Where should the XPUIPC folder be placed on the laptop running Plan-G?

Hello Tim
I have Plan-G 3.2.1.151 installed on Dell XPS13 laptop running Windows 10. Location to X-Plane 11 running on Aorus i7 (Windows 10) is via mapped network drive to X-Plane 11 folder on Desktop. Database successfully built and all features in Plan-G seem to be working. Loud click heard when connecting X-Plane. Network IP address of Plan-G on Dell 192.168.8.102.
I downloaded XPUIPC version 2.0.5.9 64 bit from site you sent me. I have set IP address in Config file to 192.168.8.101. X-Plane folder is shared. XPUIPC is present under plugins. Version and status information reports: XPWideClient Version 2.0.0.3 64 bit; Sending multicast from: 192.168.8.101; IP Clients connected: 0.
Yellow aircraft icon does not appear in Plan-G. Plan-G log file attached.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
