Plan-G / Display fires from Firefighter X?
March 23, 2017, 12:05:30 AM
Tim:

I don't know if you are familiar with the software Firefighter X, but, it allows one to display wild fires within the sim.  It would great if Plan-G could display the fire locations on the map.  Firefighter X uses simconnect as the interface with the sim.  Would it be possible to display the fire locations?

Got the client verson working by coping the P3d database file from the sim pc install into the client install.  Client connects to the sim pc just fine.  Oh well......

Appreciate the help.

Plan-G / 3.1.4.120 - P3dV3.4 Can't create database?
October 28, 2016, 05:28:46 PM
Just installed latest beta and can not create database.  Have indicated where the sim exe and scenary.fig files are located on networked pc.  When I tell plan-g to build database, it starts to read information then goes quickly to indicate 0 written and closes the build window.  When I start plan-g it goes to the build database window.  Had 3.1.3 and it was working with no issues.

What have I missed in the setup?

Danny

Works ok for me.  Just point it to the V3 exe like normal.

Plan-G / Re: P3D v2.5.12945 Compatibility

I use P3D V2.5 with the latest hotfix and PlanG, latest version, with no crash issues.  I start PG either before or after P3D is started.  I use FSUIPC as the data connection method.  The only issue I have with PG is that the traffic icons have multiple images, similar to leaving bread crums, when they move.

Hope this helps.

Just the icon representing the multiplayer traffic has a double image.  One slightly behind the other.

Plan-G / Traffic Image - Double Images in Trail
February 19, 2015, 03:10:10 PM
I have the latest version of Plan-G.  I am seeing double images of traffic aircraft as they move.  The images are overlapping each other, therefore, I assume the multiple images represent the same aircraft.  I have the update period set to 2 seconds for both my aircraft image and the traffic.  What do I need to do to stop the double imaging?  I have the trail setting turned off.

Plan-G / Airspace Colors
September 02, 2013, 06:44:58 PM
Any chance of getting the airspace colors adjusted to reflect those used by the FAA?

Class B:  Blue (Solid)
Class C:  Magenta (Solid thick)
Class D:  Blue (dashed)
Class E Surface:  Magenta (dashed)

etc.

By the way, really enjoy the product.  Great add-on for sim experience and a great training tool.

Danny

Fixed it.  I had revised my exe.xml file to auto run HIDMacros and SPAD.  It appears one of those two programs does not completely close when FSX is closed, thus, effectively blocking the ports.  Everything is back to normal.  The newest version works fine.

I am and have been using simconnect.  I agree, it does appear to be something either holding the ports open or blocking them somehow.
