Thanks for the VERY speedy reply.

Just a quick question which I couldn't locate in the handbook.  Can you export a Plan-G plan to FS2004 Flight Planner?  One needs to do have the flight plan in Flight Planner in order to appear on the FS GPS gauge.  Of course you can create it in Flight Planner, but if it can be imported it will be great.

Plan-G / Plan G freezes in Google Map mode
December 09, 2010, 03:52:20 AM
Forgive all my dumb questions, but I'm just getting into Plan-G and finding these things out.  When I zoom into Google Maps with the setting about half way along the slider Plan G just freezes and I have to shut it down with Task Manager and reload it.  Not serious, because I won't be using Google Maps so much with all the other great options available, but just want to know whether anybody has experienced this.

Plan-G / Running FS in Full-screen mode with Plan-G
December 09, 2010, 02:24:39 AM
Hi
I am running FS9 on one monitor and Plan-G on another.  It works beautfiully, but I ususally run FS in full-screen mode.  If I do this with Plan-G then whenever I click on the Plan'G monitor it minimizes the FS monitor view, and I have to make my settings on Plan-G and then maximise my FS monitor.  The only way I can avoid this and display both simultaneously, is to run FS in windowed mode.
Is there any way around this?

Plan-G / Moving aircraft to a specific location
December 07, 2010, 04:13:01 PM
Hi
Is it possible to move an aircraft to a specific location in Plan-G?  I can't find a reference to this feature in the handbook, but it is very useful for setting up an aircraft in mid-flight or positioning it in a parking bay before take-off so that you can save this situation as a flight.

I found the problem.  The original plan was created in FSNav and then exported to FS Planner.  The plan that ended up in FS Planner just showed the origination and destination airports, which, being a round trip, were the same.  I'll check this out.  Its an FSNav problem.  Sorry to trouble you guys, but at least I determined what was happening.

Happy flying

Plan-G / Re: Boy did I really fix it

Well I fixed it by removing all the references to Plan-G in the registry and starting from scratch again.  It works fine until I go into Google Earth, when I zoom in to a certain point, it hangs and I have to close the program with Task Manager.

Has anybody experienced this?

That's exactly what Microsoft Fixit is - a registry repair utility that has worked for me before!  I emailed Microsoft and am waiting for a reply.

Ooh wow, how the heck did that happen?  The route shows up in FSNav and is a standard one which I never created. See the attachment.

Plan-G / Boy did I really fix it
December 06, 2010, 06:34:09 AM
On zooming in to Google Earth view, I got the message that a script was causing the computer to run slowly, etc, and do I wish to stop running the script?  Whatever I clicked, the message wouldn't go away.  I queried this on the Internet and it was recommended to run the Microsoft FixIt program, which I've used before.  When I ran this, it really fixed it - the splash screen appeared but then just a blank screen and the "Plan-G is not responding" message.  I reinstalled Plan-G but got the same thing.  It won't even install.  Obviously I've corrupted the registry somewhere, but can somebody suggest a solution, or should I contact Microsoft?

Plan-G / Won't display Vancouver+ Flight Plan
December 06, 2010, 06:01:11 AM
I've been going through the handbook and getting to grips with Plan-G.  Tried to load an old existing flight plan whihc I've attached, but in the PLAN window it just displays the starting airport, Delta Heritage Park CAK3 for each leg, viz. 12 repetitions of CAK3.  I've attached the pln file and would appreciate it if you could load it and see if it's the same for you.  Maybe you can spot the problem.  Thanks
