Hi Tim, well, some success. I now have the UK2000 airfields 9n the map, and also Tallin, but I am unsure about the FSDT airfields because although some show as addons and airport diagrams appear similar to the model layouts, others are not so represented. It could be that airfields in the FTX LC are showing instead.

Log file attached.

Hi Tim, I have now found why the UK2000 airports are not loading for me. I have installed them using the new P3D system with addon xml files, and Plan G is not searching for those. I did not point to the location of ach individual airport, but only to the UK2000 scenery folder. When I tried again just pointing at Gatwick it was picked up OK. What I don't understand is why the FSDT airfields, loaded by the same method, were found and yet Tallin, also loaded this way, was not.

Log file attached.

Edit: I was wrong, the FSDT airports are not being found.

Hi Tim, yes I have put a pointer to the UK2000 folder in the options/locations but no joy.

Hi Tim, I have tried version 3.2 in FSX-SE and P3D v4 and in both cases there was not a problem either loading the program to the location I wanted. However, I have a problem with compiling a data base for P3D v4. It compiles OK, but it is not detecting the UK2000 airfields. I thought it may be because I have the new method for inserting scenery, not in the cfg file, but FSDT fields are inserted the same way and they all show, I have tried pointing Plan G at the UK2000 location, but to no avail.

I do not have this problem with FSX-SE where everything has gone in fine.

One other point, that I have always had with P3D and that is I can only connect Plan G using FSUIPC.

I can confirm this. I tried a flight with an Auster Autocrat and the HSI changed some 5 or 6 miles before the waypoint.

Plan-G / Rounding of NDB frequencies
September 07, 2009, 10:52:14 PM
A problem with ADE has meant that some of the NDB frequencies for the UK2000 VFR Airfields have been rounded to a whole integer. I have been through the AFD files and corrected all the errors I could find, except two; Coventry and Oxford simply refused to accept the amendments. The upgraded files are to be found on the UK2000 Web Site AFCAD page. If anyone spots any more wrong NDB frequencies than please post here.

If you get that again, Frank, click on the centre of the Google globe above the scale bar and the zoom function will be restoreed.

I was flying VH-KBA, Dave (the invisible one) was in PH-NFH and Tom, the other one I could see was in G-AGXV.

Hi Tim,

I can part answer your questions.

Your summation is correct and we were flying FS multiplayer with a direct connection. Incidentally the ghost member of the group was the host.

None of us had the ai distance set to less than 50Km, as we checked our settings on more than one occasion. None of us were flying the same livery, again we specifically checked that we had different  textures and that we all had those textures in our aircraft folders.

I will have to leave Frank to answer for what (and how!!!) he was flying.

Hi Tim,

Several of our group, including me, had the same experieince as Frank with Plan-G on a separtae screen. In my particular case the second screen is set at 1064 x 768 and is an analogue display. My primary screen is digital and set at 1680 x 1050. It could therefore be a factor of the screen type and resolution.

Hi Tim,

A bit more infomation for you. There were three of us flying in loose formation, all in Auster Autocrats. Two of us could see each other both visually and in Plan-G, whilst the third, who was most of the time, between us and above could not see us on Plan-G nor could we see him. The data was visible both on the map and in the information panel at the side. For the other flyer and me we found that if, say, he was above me then his aircraft was superimposwed on top of mine, but if he was below me I could not see him and vice versa. However, the data was still in the information panel. Frank Turley was flying a Bell helicopter. We could not see him in Plan_G but he could see the two of use that could see each other but not the invisible Auster in between. (I hope that is clearer than mud!!)

On leaving multiflyer all the ai aircraft around me were immediately visible, so the ai function works fine. I did say the range was set to 15 km earlier but that was a mis-type, it was 50km.
