Plan-G / Re: Test version 3.1.4.123
February 12, 2017, 10:56:44 AM
Hi Tim
Bit of a dinasaur here with FSX on Vista.
I'm unable to delete waypoints directly from the flightplan. All other instructions from the r-click menu work ok.
I just get a ping and everything locks up. I just have to restart.
Thanks for your tireless efforts, much appreciated by many.
Regards

Hi Tim

Just d/l the latest build.
I installed exactly as previously. Rename Old Plan-G folder, copy new one over from the zip.

I ran the ClearAllSettings.exe and have a popup....
It's a "Plan-G Map Reset Util" which states
There was an error clearing settings:
Registry key has subkeys and recursive removes are not supported by this method.

best wishes

Kev

ps As a quick aside, my Plan-G window when maximised (1280x1024) doesn't quite make the right hand side of the screen. I noticed this after closing the window behind instead of Plan-G itself.

Plan-G / Re: No csv files folder
January 14, 2010, 11:56:58 PM
ok Tim

yes, that is possible. I guess I created it within the Plan-G directory of the previous version.

Correct me if I'm wrong - This version 9x doesn't have an installer, you just unzip it, create a shortcut etc

As suggested in the Read Me file, I renamed the old folder and copied the new from the zip file.
As I received a "No such file exists" from Vista, does that not mean that the file locations are held somewhere?
The only way the prog knew about my csv folder was from within the Manage user waypoints/Import of the older version!
Is a cfg file held somewhere else?

Plan-G / Lack of Airspace
January 14, 2010, 07:36:16 AM
Hi Tim

Looking really good, but couldn't find any airspace.
Coped GlobalAirspaceX.dat over from previous instal and now fine.

Plan-G / No csv files folder
January 14, 2010, 07:22:06 AM
No csv files folder was created by the installer.

I wonder if this may confuse new users.

When I first clicked on "manage user waypoints" Vista pop-up states "No directory exists".

I dont remember, but was this automatic on previous versions?

The Reporting Point / Re: Canada Fixes?
December 18, 2009, 07:04:18 AM
I've added a further column to the file available above, but Plan-G still says:

"Invalid File. This does not appear to be a valid User Waypoints File. Please see the log file for further information"

The log file just gives

06:58:33 Importing User Waypoints: C:\Users\admin\Plan-G\csv files\Canada.csv

I wonder if I've found a database using the wrong LatLon format?

I have done a Canada Fix file, but it doesn't want to load!

Can someone cleverer than I spot the deliberate mistake?

Sorry

Then you are really confused

I have converted this Tutorial Flight plan so that it is compatible with Plan-G.

Thanks to TangoEcho for pointing me to:

the Decimal to Degrees converter here

Plan-G / Re: Deleting User Waypoint database
December 01, 2009, 04:49:33 PM
I have loaded all the [Addon] files and wanted to delete (briefly) one set.
This proved a challenge, so deleting VRP and then rebuilding the User collection minus the unwanted file.

Is there another way round?

Plan-G / Re: LAT/LONG Format
December 01, 2009, 04:39:42 PM
I would second this request Tim.

I would like to convert .rte flightplans from PMDG etc, and they are all listed in this alternate format. This is almost impossible where fixes are not mapped.

The only solution is to fly the route, and then re-create the flightplan with reference to the crumbline afterwards.

Really enjoying the show tho'

Plan-G / Deleting User Waypoint database
November 28, 2009, 02:52:20 PM
Is it possible to delete just the User Waypoints Database?

The directory contains:
MEF.mdb, Plan-G.mdb and the VRP.mdb but the manual is unclear as to which database the imported csv files are added to?

Thanks
