Plan-G / Flight Sim World and Plan-G
October 14, 2017, 06:55:03 PM
As others may have pointed out, the FSX format 'PLN' exported to ...\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files can be used in Flight Sim World. Thanks for the compatibility, Tim!

Of course, I'd love for Plan-g's moving map to work with FSW, but I guess I'll have to wait for that...

Plan-G / Cross Reference question
April 03, 2013, 05:37:48 PM
Plan-G User Manual - Section 16: An Example Flight Plan - Section 16.2.2 "... Right‐click the Wigton VRP symbol and select 'Set Waypoint Cross References'"

My (latest) version (3.0.3.56) of Plan-G doesn't have any Cross Reference in the right-click drop down menu. I'm reading from the manual that came with this version but can't find any Cross Reference in Plan-G. Clearly I'm looking in the wrong place - Please Help!!

Thanks, Tim.

Plan-G / Setting 'cruise altitude'
April 03, 2013, 09:29:04 AM
Normally the default, or 'recommended', cruise altitude for my short VFR flights is set to 7000' by Plan-G. I'd like to reduce this to 4500', and can do that when making the flight plan, but when I 'export' (xxx.pln) to FSX, the cruise height remains at 7000' and I have to reset it to 4500', in the FSX Flight Planning section.
Have I missed a step somewhere, Tim? Maybe I've set the cruise altitude in Plan-G but not in the correct way for FSX to get it. Thanks for any advice!

Plan-G / Saving image of Plan-G Flight Plan
December 02, 2011, 08:47:14 AM
Hi All - Greetings from mid Wales, where it's not snowing, yet...

Normally, when I've finished a Flight Plan, after saving the *.pln, I like to save the plan's image. At the moment, I do this by hitting the Print Screen button and pasting the screen image into MS Paint. I can then edit the image into a more useful, and smaller, form. Is there an automatic method of achieving this in Plan-G? I have looked through the (excellent) manual, but can't find any options. Maybe someone knows of an easier method than mine, too?

At this point I've got to say that I rarely stray off the tarmac these days unless I've completed a Flight Plan with Plan-G - utterly brilliant app, Tim - can't thank you enough, Mate!

Just downloaded the new version of Plan-G and thought I'd say 'Thank you!'  :PDT_Armataz_01_37:

I honestly don't know what I'd do without it, now. Tim, you're a genius, mate!
