Home and Map tabs don't react

Hi
I've just started with Plan-G.  I've generated the database but can't get the basic operations to work.  For instance, nothing happens when I click on the Home and Map tabs.  Also the handbook states that by right-clicking on an airport, the option to "show airport chart" should come up, allowing you to see  the runway data and other information in the information pane.  However this option does not appear no matter where I click on the airport in map view.  Obviously I'm missing something.  I just need to get over the basic hurdle in order to get started and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.
Thanks

Could you post the log file please? (Plan-G_Log.txt)
Thanks

Aha, this file doesn't exist.  Obviously something wrong with my setup.  Attached is the contents of my Plan-G folder.

In that case, you probably don't have enough permissions. Two things to try:

1. Set Run As Administrator in the Plan-G icon

2. Reinstall Plan-G AWAY FROM the Program Files folder.

Hi and thanks for the speedy reply.  Appreciated. I'll try your suggestions when I get back from work and report back.  I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be the folder problem, which is a Win7 problem when installing FS.   As you no doubt know, FS  won't work when you install it in the default program   I'm sure we'll sort it out soon. I'm looking forward to getting into Plan-G.

All the best

Re-installed in my FS2004 folder and allis working.  Thanks.  Now I can start enjoying this wonderful product - looking forward to it.

Just one question - I would like to install Plan-G on my netbook - just for flight planning on the move.  I guess it will be slow but hopefully it will be adequate for the purpose.  Can I simply install it from the exe file on my desktop, and then, which files do I need to copy across to load the database on the netbook?

Thanks

You will need to run the installer to make sure the database libraries are installed correctly. Then it's simply a matter of copying the contents of the Plan-G\Data folder from one machine to the other. The files are named in what I hope is an obvious manner.

Thanks Tim - done it and it works.  Now I'm set for some long, interesting nights mastering this great add-in.
