Hi  i wish to install Plan-g  into my second computer. FSX is installed on my main computer. I have a network connection between the two. How can i do the data up-date . i cannot install FSX on my second computer.  Is there a way of transferring the data from the main computer to the second one which will allow Plan-G to work  Many thanks your help

Install Plan-G on both PCs. Build the database on the FS PC, and copy it to the second PC (it's in Plan-G\Data).

Tim,
Can't David just tell Plan-G (on the second computer) where his FSX install is under "file > options > FS connection" and build the database on the "data" tab in Plan-G? or have I missed something in his question.

Indeed, provided the relevant drives are shared appropriately. But it can be problematic with addons, particularly if you installed FSX to the default location. And at half past midnight, agfter a couple of glasses of South Australia's finest, the Copy method is by far the simplest.  ;)

Hi David

I use Plan-G on a networked PC and have tried pointing it at FSX but have had various problems with some add-on scenery not being recognised, so I now use the procedure Tim advised and have two copies of Plan-G.  I use the copy on the FSX PC to create the database then transfer the data folder to my networked PC - works great and all add-on scenery is recognised.
