Quick access tool bar greyed out

I had FSX and Plan-G on the same computer and they worked fine. I decided to have my other computer networked so that I could run FSX on it leaving Plan-G on the original. This has been done. I decided to remove FSX from the Plan-G computer so that there was no confusion as to which FSX Plan-G was accessing. Unfortunately now the Quick Access Tool Bar is greyed out and I cannot use it.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Plan-G and re-installing FSX but the problem persists.

Any ideas please?
