Plan-G freezes when zooming into Guatemala

Hi Tim,

Despite the known problems about searching I did not have any problem with Plan-G for quite a while now. However, yesterday I wanted to develop a multi-leg flightplan consisting of short hops coming from Panama via Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador which should continue via Guatemala towards North-West. Unfortunately I'm not able to zoom in north of Guatemala City (half the way to Cobam (MGCB). While panning along the airway , e.g. in zoom stage 10 it seems to work but almost centering the map on VOR RAB and zooming to step 10 causes a non responding application.

I included the log file and hope that you can find out something.

EDIT: I forget to mention that it is no problem to zoom into the next airport MMCO but when panning back the leg it happens before reaching MGCB (coming from the North along LON W090° 30' and before LAT N15° 30' is visible at the lower border of the map). Hey, it's strange - it smells like a tile problem! I added a screen shot.

I can't see anything in the log. All I can think of is that maybe there is a problem at the server that causes that tile to hang up?

Yeah, I believe that there is nothing in the log as nothing can be written when the application hangs. However, I asked a couple of friends to try try out the zooming experience and whether its reproducible for them. As the map itself looks quite complete when it freezes it could have to do with the overlays as they are not redrawn. All I can see (at the moment!) is the plain map. ILS RAB (Rabenal) should be right in the middle of the picture (zoom changed from 9 to 10) - and it hangs again.

Tim, have you tried it? However, do you have an idea how I could test the reason? I meanwhile think the tile thingy is the wrong track...
Warning: I forgot to mention, that of course Pan-G hangs again if you just try to reload it. The second picture shows the result. The only possibility is to double-click an existing plan which obviously changes the plan settings early enough.

EDIT: The case was not reproducible for one of my mates - strange.

I'm nowhere near a Windows machine at the moment, but I should be able to try it next week.

FYI - I had the exact same thing when trying to access VRMM (Male) 2 nights ago, Plan-G would just give up and vanish.  It was OK everywhere else I tried it (mainly North America). Today it works fine at VRMM and elsewhere.  The PC has been on continuously so it cannot be related to a reboot/memory issue etc.  I think it must be a Google Map thing as opposed to an error with the Plan-G program itself.  I use the program on a networked laptop to FSX/FS9/P3D on the main PC.  There is never very much else running on the laptop other than Vista32, WideClient, Active Sky 2012, AiSmooth.
