My problem is with .Net 4 and not with PlanG 3. Although having to install .Net 4 for PlanG has created one.

.Net 4 is forever being updated each time I shut down, which is becoming very annoying. I have searched Google and the Microsoft websites but I cannot find a solution.

It could be my PC causing the problem I don't know,  but can anyone suggest what to do please.

PlanG 3 is brilliant and I love using it, but I might have to uninstall .net4 and use PlanG 2.  :-\

Regards, Michael.

Just guessing... It would be a permissions issue. If you're on Vista/W7, try to create a new user account member of administrators. Login that user, install .Net and then reboot with that new user. If you success, you have to look for your regular user permissions...

Thanks for your suggestion but I know it has nothing to do with having permissions.

Looking at some of the results from my search of Google it seems that Microsoft have a problem with .net 4 and security issues hence the constant updates.

As I cannot seem to resolve the problem I will ditch .net 4 and sadly PlanG 3. Hopefully in the future .net 4 will sort itself out.

I had just the same now when I tried out the new V3 version. There were 5 updates for the .NET FW 4 and each time I ran the update without any error, the next time I scanned for updates these 5 appeared again.
Simple solution - uninstall all NET 4 entries from the control panel-programs, then download full .NET 4 installer ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718 ), install and then the updates should work without appearing again.
