Trim

AoA909 talks about pre flight TRIM setting.Please explain what is the setting.

I'm not sure what AoA909 is, but...

Trim is an adjustment to the elevator made by turning the Trim Wheel. There is an indicator usually next to the wheel with a pointer showing the trim position, and a label "T/O" indicating the position that should be set for take off.

The purpose of Trim is to cancel out the force on the stick/yoke required to hold the aircraft in a given attitude, thereby making the plane less effort to fly.

Thanks. i understand and use trim while on FSX.  It was just the pre flight setting I have not used. Thanks for your response. Working on your great app. Will have lots of questions.
