Hello, I'm a new user and I'm having some trouble with programming user waypoints.
What I'm trying to do is setup a user waypoint database, where I can quickly see which airports are updated by addons. When I rightclick at a random spot in an ampty area, I get the option to set a new waypoint, but when I do this on top of an existing airport, I dont get that option.
How do I drop a user waypoint on top of an existing airport?

You would need to zoom in far enough so the waypoint is not on top of the airport.

I tried it, but it isn't working. First I managed to setup 2 user waypoints, but when zooming out, they get covered by the airport marker, so I still cant get an overview of the map, with my own markers visible.
Turning the airport markers off, I indeed get a map with my own markers visible, but I'm loosing the functionality of the program, where I can pick up markers for the flight plan, for example.
Another problem that came up on a second try, was that I can only set one marker from any available marker type and trying to setup a second, the first marker disappears. Trying again the markers don't show at all and don't give an entry in the waypoint window, doing exactly the same thing as I did before where I could get 2 waypoints on the first try and 1 on the second.

I had a go with version 3.0.2, just to see if it was version related, but here I ran into the same kind of problem. I just wanted to put some POI markers under the airport markers and the first two worked fine, but the next two, I didn't check the elevation first, so I had to get back to the edit window to enter those after creating the Waypoint, but after entering the number and clicking OK, it resets to 0. Also in the waypoint window the figure doesn't let itself be changed. Then, when I got to the fifth waypoint, I can enter all the data, but when I click OK, the windows closes, but there isn't any waypoint on the map. Also, there isn't a new waypoint in the waypoint window.
Also, after closing the program and opening it again, the POIs are gone, even though they are still in the user waypoint list.

Hope this information helps

What I understand from that post is that the problem is avoidable by not turning the user waypoints into VRPs. But I don't change icon at all and, from what I understand, meaning that I should be able to continue adding user waypoints, but I cant...
Or simply put, I don't understand how to work around the problem, like that post says, should be possible.

Don't go into the edit dialog, period - that'll prevent you from adding new UWPTs
