Hello:
I have tried for 1 to 2 hours a day for several days to get a airport I installed to show on new installed Plan-G map.
Plan-G is on a XP sys and FSX on a Win7 sys. I have several 3 party apps on the XP that communicate just fine with FSX.
For some reason I can't get Plan-G to read the correct "scenery.cfg" (so Im told) so it will show the new airport.
I ran the data base to read from the MAIN FSX folder "scenery.cfg" and nearby default airports show.

Any GOOD advice.

Hello,
could you please attach the Plan-G's log?

I would if It was in the Plan-G folder!

You can find it here C:\Users\<user_name>\Documents\Plan-G Files

Sorry, my fault. You should then describe the path where the airport is installed, the location of your config.sys and the related entry therein. If FSX dosn't recognise the airport, Plan-G doesn't have a chance, too. FSX always expect a path that looks like this:

.\<FSX root>\...\<scenery name>\scenery

Example:
.\Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery\MyAirportName.bgl

Ok I deleted the scenery data base and let FSX rebuild it.
airport now on FSX map. Now doing a Plan-G data rebuild.

GDR1944

Now the data base is taking a unusual long time to complete.
Had to restart several times.
Now Its stuck on the last little square in Airways for 30 minutes now.

After 6 data base build tries still no airport icon.
But it now shows on FSX map.
