Hello,

I've tried to make a flight plan based on a Youtube video of FSX Plan-G Navigation going from EGKA Shoreham to EGKL Deanland Lewes Airport but...
I can see that there is a runway of Deanland airport but there is no airport symbol. So, I cannot select and add EGKL to the flight plan as a destination airport.

Is there something wrong with my settings? Do I need an update of Plan-G?

Is Deanland an addon airport? Did you rebuild the database after installing it?

Hello Mr. Arnot,

I suppose that EGKL is an add-on airport and.... yes, I forgot to rebuild the database  :-[

Thank you for your quick response!

Check the log file - is it finding your airport when it builds the database? It should be listed in the log. (if it's an Orbx airport, make sure the correct region is active, or add its folder to your Additional folders List)

Dear Mr. Arnot,

It is indeed an ORBX airport and I have the correct region (Europe) active. I added the folder to my Additional folders list and then I have rebuilt the database but... EGKL is still not showing up as a selectable airport.
The airstrip is visible when I zoom in a lot but there is no airport symbol on it and it is not selectable as an airport.
Also it does not appear in the log file. I have exported the User Waypoints as .cvs records and also here it is not found in.
I could try to import it as a cvs file into the User Waypoints Manager but I don't understand the coordinates system that is used.
I have noticed that there are also other airports with only the airstrip visible but without airport symbol. However on the tutorial video is an airport symbol visible for EGKL and is the airstrip selectable as being an airport. Strange....
May I ask wether the airport symbol is visible  on your own Plan-G? And if it is would you send me the .cvs record of EGKL so that I can try to import it via the User Waypoint Manager?

I don't have the addon, so the airport is not in my database.

Can you attach the log file to your reply? I'll look at it and see if I can figure what's going on.

Dear Mr. Arnot,

In the log file is indeed an error in line 6, saying: 'cannot find a part of the path P:\FSX\ORBX\Scenery.'
The path to the specific folder should be P:\FSX\ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY
I have already tried to copy that ENG_05_Scenery folder to the main FSX scenery folder and then let Plan-G Rebuilt the database but without any result.

I have attached the log file in annex, also with the specific EGKL.bgl file and the EGKL_CVX.bgl file

Problem solved!!!!  :)

Dear Mr. Arnot,

I have re-installed Plan-G and specified the path to the subfolder P:\FSX\ORBX\FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY in the Additional Scenery Locations and that solved the problem.
Thank you for all your help, it was you who gave me the idea to look in the log file and there I saw what was going wrong.

Best regards,
Eduard
