Unable to view Mapbox maps?

Hi,

I've been trying to use Mapbox as a map provider for Plan-G but seem unable to get any maps displayed, instead I see the 'Exception: remote server 401 Unauthorized error'. This suggests that I'm communicating with the tile server but I have tried disabling my anti-virus and explicitly allowing Plan-G through the Windows firewall as well.

As far as I can see my free Mapbox account is set up properly and I'm providing the map ID for my default map in the Mapbox subscription text box under Plan-G options. I think I've followed the instructions in the 'readme' and manual correctly.

I suspect I'm missing out something vital here in the set up of my Mapbox account so can anyone else here who is successfully using Mapbox provide any advice? I have searched the forum for Mapbox references but didn't find very much!

Many thanks,
Rob W

There are two Mapbox key slots (allowing two different map styles, e.g. terrain and photo). Make sure you have the provider selected for the key you are using, and that the key is correct. I'll double check mine is still working when I can get onto that PC (tonight hopefully).

Thanks Tim. I only have one map style set up at the moment (terrain) so I'm using the map ID of that in the Mapbox 1 input box. I was a bit confused at first as to what should be entered here and tried both my public and private api access tokens from Mapbox but that had the same result. I used the map ID instead after looking in the Plan-G manual where you showed an example and after reading the readme from the Plan-G install zip.
