Just been reading a bit more of the manual, in particular Page 142.
  Hmmm.
Having created my very first little flight plan on Plan G, how do I get the two of them communicating with one another?
How does FSX. get to know about this initial lan?
Thank you. I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into this most promising programme.

Export to FSX format then open the plan in FSX.

Many thanks, Tim.
I managed it. For an elderly gentleman I feel elated. My first local trip is rolling along and I'm having the time of my life once more.
I do believe you've rolled back my years!

I am a new user, yes I read the manual but something is amiss. FSX is on a gamer notebook and Plan-G is running on my personal notebook.  Both are running Windows 7 fully updated and I have configured Plan-G to connect via FSUIDLL.  I have correctly entered the locations of FSX and scenery and have successfully built a database.  But when I click on the connect button it looks like it is connecting but I don't see any evidence of it (no little airplanes).  The only thing that changes is: I see a little black box with an upward pointing arrow in the upper left hand corner of the map.  It is probably something simple, but I haven't been able to figure it out.  I can create plans just fine and move them to the FSX PC via Drop Box, but I'm missing the fun of watching the little plane move across the map and it frustrates me.  Please help.

Go to Settings and make sure "Show User Aircraft" is checked.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for your reply. Turns out it was a connection issue.  As I read and read I found a post on this forum from September, 2010 I carefully followed the instructions and it absolutely worked!! I am a happy camper - Whoo-Hoo!!  Now that's solved I can really sink my teeth into Plan-G.

If you have a minute I invite you to check-out my blog.  I am flying a Cessna 441 Twin Turbo on an around the world adventure and blogging about it.  I've sprinkled it with some fiction but all of the aircraft stuff is true to the letter.  And of course I am using Plan-G for all of the flight planning (all 175 of them).

Thanks again,
Rob
