How to....disable ALL weather within Plan-G?

Most likely I am missing something here, but I cannot seem to 100% 'disable' the weather (winds) settings inside Plan-G.
I have set "Disable ALL weather in FSX/P3D" -both themed AND personalised (to 000/00kts);  ticked "update local" in PG.....but I still get the yellow arrow in the black box that shows that there is (still) winds aloft...(002 at 020kts)...even when retyped/resaved but it always returns!!
My reason for this is that with some BFSG buddies we are endeavouring to improve our "close formation" flying skills [I use the term loosely!] - simply by practicing extended circuits out of EGGD.
We have recently switched to 'JoinFS' (after previously using FSInn/vPilot) which has by far the best (lowest) 'latency' figures we have ever found (smooth as a proverbial!!), but even when ALL of us are flying the P3D default B58...and using one single 'shared' flight-plan....we seem to be fighting blustery winds, which leads to either drifting apart or (worse!) actually hitting one another (=CTD !!).
We have promised to "get real" and to use the R/W weather ...IN DUE COURSE....but at this early stage those winds are very frustrating!!
Any advice/guidance please?
Thanks

It makes no difference to the sim what you have set in Plan-G regarding weather - the data flow is only one way. If you are seeing winds of 002/20 being reported, then something in the sim is generating it. JoinFS (which is absolutely brill IMHO) allows you to get the weather from another session (often great for me, because Rex Weather, which I use often bears no relation to (say) Active Sky weather, so my MP sessions usually pick up the weather from another player)

Also, make sure you disable Winds Aloft in the sim - even with 0 wind on the ground, that could still generate winds at altitude.
