Hello Tim,

I already asked for this and you answered "you can already write a major essay in there (it is multi-line)"
Basically this is correct, but following "problem" occurs:

- I create userwaypoints (see attached short example) and I wrote a "longer" description in column 9 "Notes".
- Now the userwaypoints are set and they appear on PlanG map. Checking the description, the text appears completely as written before.

When installing PlanG again or installing a new version and importing my csv datas following problem occurs:
Column 9 "Notes" cut my entries after 50 charcters. (as written in PlanG: Displayed on the map info popup Max 50 chars.)

Is it posible to change this in a future version to a higher amount of characters (maybe 100)?

Yeah, sorry I was thinking of a different table.

I can change that, but it's going to force everyone to redo their user waypoints.

This would be excellent!   :)

Sorry for asking:
But why does this force everyone to redo their user waypoints?
What's the problem if it's possible to read 100 characters (instead of 50)?

tim arnot

Cos it changes the database format, so everybody's user waypoints will get deleted.

Ok, I understand.

But this shouldn't be a problem if a new PlanG version will be published. Everbody has to import self designed userwaypoints or others again.
Additionally a note could be published, what do do ...
