I am trying to use PlanG v4 with MSFS2020 and have ran into an issue.  I imported the MSFS2020 data with no issues but when I go to the map to plan a flight the airport names are not showing up for any airport I select.  I tried rebuilding the database but the issue persists.  Has anyone seen this issue?

For example if I hover over PHKO in Hawaii it displays this:

PHKO TT:AIRPORTLR.PHKO.name
TT:AIRPORTLR.PHKO.city
elev: 39ft

It's because you're using the Steam version. There will be an update to fix this.

I know this topic is a old one but I do have the same issue. I run MSFS2020 1.26.5 X 64 that I have just installed on a new pc. I bought the software from Microsoft store.
I run the last update of Plan-G 4 and after building the data base, I get those strange "TT:airportod.cyul .name" (for Montreal for instance) but without the name "Montreal".

Could you attach the log from your database build (Documents\Plan-Gv4 Files\Plan-Gv4_Log.txt). This should show where it's searching for the language pack. (if you built the database before today, you may need to build it again, since logs are only kept for one day).

It would also be helpful to know if your PC is set to a language other than English.

Thanks.

The OS is win 11 and it is set for french ( Francais Canada). For the sake of it, I remade the data base with English language set but it gave the same result. And I must add that I use Plan-G since many years without any issue caused by the french language.

Thanks. The log shows it not finding the language pack

That might be something they've changed in the new sim update - I'm still trying to download it here (I ran out of disk space, which doesn't help matters!). Once it's installed, I'll be able to see if the same thing happens to me here. It might be they moved the file...

This is where the locpak is on my PC:

21:11:59.4 LocPak in E:\MSFS\Official\OneStore\fs-base\en-US.locPak

Could you check the equivalent location on your PC and see if it's there? (I:\Reinstallation\Official\OneStore\fs-base\...) Or if others are there. (it's still a to-do list item to make the locpak selectable for other languages)

Tim,
By the way thank you for your support.
There are 16 **.locPak in that fs_base folder, including the en-US.locPak and the fr-FR.locPak.
