Connecting to networked pc

I am using Win Vista 32 bits.  I have it set up to connect with simconnect IPv4 on FSX.  Everything worked great the first times I used it.  Then, It would not connect to my FSX pc.  Told me to check the connections and so forth.  Everything was as I set it.  I rebooted both pc's and then it connected.  Now, it won't connect no matter what I do.  My settings are as they always were, nothing has changed.
I have read and reread the manual just in case I missed something.  The question is that it was connecting b 4, what happened?

Can you, from your Plan-G PC, browse files on your FSX PC?

Can you build the Plan-G database and see the FSX airports and navaids in Plan-G?

Have you upgraded from an older version of Plan-G?

Yes, I did all of that when I installed it.  It was working fine for at least a week.  I reaaly got into the program.  I felt like a kid in a candy store.
This is my simconnect on the pc running FSX.

Can you post the section from your log file (Plan-G_Log.txt) that covers the connection attempt? Thanks.

Just a thought, how does your LAN assign IP addresses? If it's just simple DHCP (ie you have never configured the router), it is possible that your FS PC has been assigned a different address (generally depending on the order in which things get switched on), and so the Simconnect.xml will no longer work. Most routers will allow you to reserve an address for a particular PC, so that it always gets assigned the same address.

Forgive me if this sounds patronizing, but...

Are you SURE, George? Have you set a static IP address in your wireless router? If not, your router could have changed the IP address without your knowing it.

To check, run ipconfig from the command line of your FSX computer.

Your simconnect.xml file looks ok, and the log file matches it, but it really looks like the IP address is wrong.

Now I am baffled.  Should I be using my IPv4 address of 192.168.1.102 or my default gateway of 192.168.1.1?

The former. And you will have to change it in your SimConnect.xml file AND in the Plan-G FS Connections box.
