I can no longer connect to my PC (fsx PC) from my laptop. Earlier today I did have to reset my router. Which I noticed changed my ipv4 numbers. Example my FSX PC WAS .103 but now it shows .100. My laptop WAS .103 but is now .101. So I went into the Plan G options and made sure the locations were set right, which they were. Then I checked the simconnect.xml on the FSX pc and changed the IP to .100. Tried to connect and it gives me the same error.

"Unable to connect to the remote flight simulator (timeout). Check FSX is running and that your protocol settings are correct."

If the only thing that has changed is the IP addresses, then it has to be that you have mistyped something in the new config. You are definitely using IPv4 as your protocol?

You might not be aware, but most routers allow you to reserve addresses for particular PCs, so that they always get the same address after a reboot. You'd need to see your router's documentation for how to do it, but it would avoid this kind of problem happening again in the future.
