I am having trouble connecting to my FSX PC (running Windows XP SP2) from other laptop PCs on a local network. I would like to run Plan-G on an old laptop, but for Plan-G to connect to FSX on the server PC, I have to be able to "see" folders on the server PC.

I try to open any folder on my XP SP3/FSX PC from my Plan-G laptop (also Windows XP SP2), and I get:

\\JEFF-AMD\jeff-amd Documents is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

So, I would appreciate any help you could give me to allow me to access files on the FSX PC from the client laptop.

When I go the other way, I can open directories on jeff-lifebook from jeff-amd no problem. So I don't think it's a router/firewall problem.

Any networking experts out there?

You don't ssay what OS is on your laptop.  Is it Vista?
Just clarifying the question - I don't have an answer, unfortunately.

I have tried from 2 laptops - one is XP as I corrected in my original post, and another is my wife's Vista laptop. Both give the same problem when attempting to connect to my FSX PC.
