how to disable tool tips?

title says it all. In my multi monitor setup with PG on left, ifthe mouse hovers too long the tooltip pops up on the MAIN screen - very annoying. Nice to be able to disable feature after getting familiar with menu.

EDIT: still like to disable them but the popup on different monitor seems to be related to the corruption caused by w7 switching to "basic" mode when FSX starts.
