Hi, The subject line is self-explanatory. Plan-G responds with the following message: "Plan-G is unable to open the file you have selected. It may have been moved or deleted"

Any thoughts anybody? I use Plan-G with FS9.

Thanks, Jean-Jacques

If you are opening the plan by clicking on an entry in the Recent Files list, the message indicates you may have moved or deleted that file. If you are opening the file from the Open File browser, there is some other problem, and you will need to look in the log file (Plan-G_Log.txt) to see if there is an error reported.

Tim,

Thanks for your quick response. I've reviewed the log file and don't detect an error message. I've just tried again from the Open File browser (FS9 not running) and I continue to get the message I first made reference to. Here are the lines in the log file that make reference to my last attempt to open a flightplan:

1:43:14 PM PlanG constructor
1:43:14 PM executableFolder: D:\Plan-G 0.8.1\Plan-G
1:43:15 PM Starting Plan-G, build 0.8.1.389
1:43:15 PM FS9 is installed
1:43:15 PM FS9 database is built
1:43:15 PM FSX is installed
1:43:15 PM FSX database is built
1:43:15 PM Selected data set is FS9
1:43:17 PM Starting map
1:43:17 PM Initialisation complete.
1:43:17 PM Initializing Jump List
1:43:17 PM Clearing progress bar
1:43:17 PM Checking PLN file registration
1:43:17 PM Checking command line
1:43:17 PM Command line. Length = 1 args = D:\Plan-G 0.8.1\Plan-G\Plan-G.exe,
1:43:34 PM Opening Flight Plan
1:43:37 PM UpdatePlanWeather testing IsConnected

Based on my reading of this, it seems to be confirming that Plan-G has opened the file when in fact it hasn't. But I may be wrong about my interpretation. Would Windows 7 be part of the issue much like it is when trying to add scenery to FS9 or FSX (there's a special procedure to follow in order to add new scenery to FS when using Windows 7)?

Any further thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello...
I have exactly the same problem, but I am using FS9 and Windows XP.
Any clue?
