G-Plan crashing on Connecting

Tim,

The first time I installed Plan-G and connected it to FSX via Wide FS it connected to FSX and worked perfectly.  Every time since, it will load, without the top ribbon, which I could get by clicking on the right side and dragging to the left.  I would then click on connect and it would it connect.  But only for a few seconds and the a note came up saying the program will have to close due to a problem.  It would then close.  Even though I removed and reinstalled the program it would do the same thing.

I then clicked the "Clear All Settings.exe" file and tried again.  This time the program worked perfectly.  However if I closed it and started again it would crash again.  I am having to Clear all settings before each start to get it to work.

I thought you might find this interesting and know a way around this.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

Please zip the log file and post it here for Tim to look at. The log is in your Plan G folder and is Plan-G_Log.txt

A further update to running Plan-G on a network computer.  If I uninstall, then reinstall and enter previously saved data then "Clear all settings" it will run until I close the program.  The next time I use it I have to go through the same procedure.  Just passing this information along in case it helps.

The previous post has the log attached.

Thanks for a great program.

If either FS or Plan-G crashes (doesn't really matter which one) while they are connected together, the port gets held open -- rather like a phone that's left off the hook -- and no further connection until the relevant PC is restarted. It looks like maybe that's what has happened.
