Help setting up over network

I'm hoping to setup Plan-G over my home network and use my Netbook and run Plan-G.  The concept outline in the manual appears quite simple.  However, I'm having problems getting my Windows 7 64-bit PC and Windows XP 32-bit to talk to each other.

On my PC, I have shared my FSX installation folder.  I am able to see my desktop PC on my Netbook, but when I attempt to open it to explore the shared files (so that I may map the drive location), I am told "you do not have permission to access this, check security, passwords, etc...".

Clearly this is not an issue with Plan-G.  However, after much searching on Google, I have been unable to find any way to tell my desktop PC to allow my Netbook to access files.  I have under the options for specific shared folders selected the option to share with everyone (I have an encrypted network, so I'm not too worried about using this option).

Can anyone help me out with this?
