Suggestions for (far) future releases

Hello Tim,

After having spent several years with FS9 and flight planning by using FSNAV I do have some suggestions for future improvements (without checking the forum, sorry):

1. When flying on-line, I'm using FSHost with a couple of friends, it would be quite nice if you could filter out your guys from the AI traffic remaining active in FSX. This could be done either by labelling the AI (with A/C type and flight number or user name) or by showing the a/c symbol in a different colour (I don't know whether the interface to FS could even provide the necessary information for the latter).

2. Flight plan export to PMDG and other popular add-on aircraft.

3. Providing an aircraft database with respective performance data in order to to allow estimating the fuel consumption, flight times and even TOC and TOD. BTW, your flight level profile view is quite cool, I like it very much.    8)

4. Automated route builder for longer legs by using airways and waypoints (probably like done in "FS Build").

5. Providing the option to name exported flight plans by using ICAO code instead of airport names (VFR and IFR might be an additional information).

6. Even the most important one, flight planning by drag and drop would be the hit and giving the possibility to mark nav-aids as bearing points (giving the proper direction information as well).

7. Optionally labelling of Airports, NavAids, WayPoints and Airways could help sometimes when planning flights.

8. Friends of mine would like to have an autopilot function like in FSNAV - personally I don't care.

A more private wish rather than a topic amending the above wish list:
It would be great if you would provide your database in XML format rather than in your own one. I assume that you have written a tool being able to extract the related data from FS9 resp. FSX. I'm using myself Pete Dowson's "MakeAirports" to get the FS implemented airport and runway data in XML format, building from there my own FMS data sets for PMDG, F1 ATR75 and ISG1 (from Ernie Alstom). I'm missing the possibility to extract NavAids and Waypoints (except ILS, being included in the airport data). If you are using a tool I would be happy to get information about it.

Hope you did not fell off your chair.  >:D     ;)

Kind regards,
Axel
