Hi y'all

Got a problem attempting to print flight plans. When i ask for a print of a flight plan, i get the following error:-

Error printing PLOG: Print ticket provider failed to retreive print capabilities. Win 32 Error: The specific resource name cannot be found in the image file.

I have uninstalled and completely re-installed Plan G, but to no avail. I have recently changed my printer, and wonder if this is part or all of the problem, but cannot seem to find any advice anywhere, consequently any help would be really appreciated.

I ahve attached a s/shot of the error message as received on print request, and the last entries of the log txt

nb i cannot remeber if i have used Plan G since my printer change, but don't think so, and all was working ok before.

Cheers in advance for any help

Have you checked for updated versions of the printer driver?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. The driver for the printer is the latest up to date version.

I am wondering if any win updates have interfered with things, but knowing which one is perplexing. And then, if it was a win update, it would probably have upset any other print instructions.

I am really still at a loss :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi Tim, and to anyone else who may be having this error on printing flight plans.

I have this a.m., googled the problem, and it appears that changing the User Print Tickets property in your printer will allow you to overide the default setups and low and behold..................BINGO, all is working well again, on my own Kodak Hero 5.1 it was a matter of accessing Printer Properties, Advance tab, then asking to print direct to printer, thereby avoiding spooling.

If you search Changing User Print Tickets, there are several sites which will guide you through the process.

I hope this has been of some help to others.

Regards........................Tony
