Naming identifiers

Hi,

Just started my first VFR tour of England/Wales and am excited by the prospect of using this great-looking software.

My question is:
When creating or assigning identifiers to user-created waypoints, is there a standard pattern to follow or perhaps a(n extended) list of already-recognised identifiers to consult..?
(As an example, the first I have in mind is Blenheim Palace, near Oxford.)

Apologies in advance if my brief forum search missed the answer,
David

Not that I'm aware of. The only restriction is that there is a 10 character limit for it to be accepted by FS.

BTW, it just so happens I was driving past Blenheim Palace tonight at around the time of your post!

Thanks for your reply, Tim. I guess I'll just make up my own.

In case you didn't see much of it, I'll try not to crash into Blenheim Palace when I buzz it en route to Wellesbourne!

I've only just begun to scratch its surface, but Plan-G looks to be a great piece of software, so I'm off to donate. Thanks for creating and developing it.
