Flight Plan Not Showing when Connecting to FSX

Hello, I am a newbie, very excited by Plan-G. I have read the manual, made flight plans and connected, everything seems to work...except, and here is my question:
-I have saved my flight plan in *.pln (FSX format)
-I load FSX first
-I load a plane with the recently saved flight plan
-I load Plan - G
-I connect Plan G to FSX

My plane is showing in the right location, most of the info is there, but the flight plan itself is not showing. If the flight plan is loaded in FSX, do I also need to load it in Plan - G? Or is there something I am doing wrong in the process?

Yes you must load the flight plan in Plan-G if you want to see it in Plan-G.
